The DPS Data Center tracking solution was designed for large data centers that need to track equipment, including servers, routers, UPS, and other items, that is being installed and removed from the data center. The solution allows the customer to track all serial numbers being installed or removed from the exact location in the data center. The solution tracks equipment down to the row(s) that the equipment is installed/removed from, the cabinet that it is in and the grid location of the cabinet. The solution provides lookups for equipment based on serial number, department, etc. The solution also captures the name and signature of the technicians and customers doing any transaction.
ROI: The solution was built as there was no tracking system in place for the original customer. The data center was responsible for the history of the transactions but could not provide any information or proof of transactions.
